If you’re going to do some hiking or camping in Texas, the best place to do it is in far West Texas, in the mountains.
There’s three mountain ranges you should consider. The Guadalupe Mountains, the Davis Mountains, and the Big Bend Area.
The tallest mountains are in the Guadalupes, but our favorite for a relxing weekend are the Davis Mountains. We like to go out to Davis Mountains State Park and do a little bit of camping.
It doesn’t have the wide open spaces like Big Bend, or the long trails like the Guadalupes, but its perfect for a relaxing time with your family.
This website has been set up to inform potential campers and hikers of the current conditions in Big Bend National Park. If you are looking for the best place to camp or a great hiking spot, you can visit Trek Southwest for more details.
We will be focusing on what the current weather is in Big Bend and what the current conditions are for each road.
Well have road conditions for the following backcountry roads:
- Old Ore Road
- Juniper Canyon Road
